Weekly Challenge #69: "UMT v.IV: Groovy"

The Diva's weekly challenge is to use GROOVY (a tangle pattern submitted by Eden) in a tangle. I can't say I love the way this one turned out, but I'm trying really hard to get out of the habit of being obsessive about perfection. It ruins the 'zen' part of zentangle when I focus on the things I haven't done as well as I would like, so I'm going to pretend I drew the pattern right (I didn't) and the shading is even (it's not) and vow to do better on the next one. :o)

  3. Yes, I think your Groovy is lovely, very puffy! No mistakes, right? :) Ilike your tiny dots at the edge, too.

  4. You are too hard on yourself. I think it's lovely. I especially like the frame, looks like a candy necklace.

  13. Very Nice, I love the "groovy" border with the aura of dots. That really frames your tile perfectly.

  14. I like the groovy bits in the border, it echos the rest nicely. I see what you mean about doing it "right" but this version works too, its just different. This way you end up with cross wise rows of shapes where the lines got he same way which could be a useful effect. The shading is also good as it really does make them pop and look puffy.

  15. Oh, I love your results. Can't decide if it looks like a quilting or one of those potholders we used to weave. LOL Great results!!!
