Weekly Challenge #111: "Mooka"

Well... the Diva doesn't call it a challenge 'cause it's cake. 

If there's one tangle pattern I struggle with, it's Mooka. On the rare occasion when I use it, I get better results making it a mishmash of Mooka and Flux. Tried it a couple times... here are 1.0 and 2.0:





Is it still a monotangle if I made it a hybrid of two tangle patterns and threw in a third (Puffle) as a string? I vote yes. 'Cause WE are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.' 





...and am I the only one that sees Odie ears when they look at Mooka??

    I really like 1.0; the colors pop and the tangle is well-done. And now that you point it out, yesh, I too see Odie's ears! hahahaaaaa

    Hi Sandy, You under estimate yourself. It looks like you mastered the Mooka to me. I thing both pieces are stunning.

      Thank you very much. I do like my version... but when I try to draw it the way it was first introduced by Maria (look it up on YouTube if you haven't seen her video!) it doesn't turn out as well as I would like. Maybe I just need to slow down a little. And practice. :o)

    GREAT job. I am not a mooka fan...and I see now that I have a lot of friends in that same category. But I too gave it a "shot". I really like yours a lot. Beautifully done and I like the color on them!

    I never saw the similarity of mooka and flux before. Thanks for pointing it out. I think both your mooka tiles are gorgeous. I also love the blue.

    I saw echoism as a string in the first one also. If you hadn't mentioned flux, I would have just though those were extended parts of a Mooka poking out from underneath. Great job.
